Now, while Samsung hasn’t made the Galaxy A8 (2016) official yet, the smartphone is already in works and the launch could be getting closer. The alleged smartphone was recently spotted on Geekbench listing, which has revealed some of its specifications and features.

Carrying the model number SM-A810F, the smartphone was running on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1. The listing reveals 64-bit Exynos 7420 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.5GHz processor and paired with 3GB of RAM. The processor may be a year old, but it has powered the company’s flagship smartphones such as the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note5 as well. And considering it will be placed in the upper mid-range, it Exynos 7420 could be apt processor for it.
While the Geekbench listing doesn’t reveal other specifications, the Galaxy A8 (2016) was also recently spotted on GFXBench with a 5.1-inch full HD (1080p) display, 32GB internal storage, 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-­facing shooter. One of the highlights of the Samsung A-series (2016) smartphones has been the rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilization). The same could be expected on the Galaxy A8 (2016) too.

As of now, details about the launch date, price and availability are scarce at the moment. However, now that the smartphone has been put through paces on Geekbench and GFXBench, the launch may not be far away.
