Reliance Jio 4G offers: Best Budget LYF Smartphones.
Reliance Jio 4G service is yet to roll out for commercial use but that doesn’t mean you can’t get hold of company’s 4G SIM card. Reliance Jio 4G service is yet to roll out for commercial use but that doesn’t mean you can’t get hold of company’s 4G SIM card. The easiest way to get a Reliance Jio 4G SIM card right now is buy a Reliance LYF smartphone. The company is giving away its 4G-ready SIM cards with 3 months of free unlimited data and voice services with LYF handsets. And given that LYF smartphones start at a price as low as Rs 2,999; this isn’t a bad deal at all. We’re saying this because we conducted a Reliance Jio 4G speed test in Delhi, and the service was way faster than the competition. While shooting the video of the speedtest we hit the best speeds of 22Mbps. We could download 95 per cent of a 86MB game in under one minute, which is way faster than what other telecom operators offer right now. In East Delhi, the speeds were in the range of 14Mbps for download and 6.90Mbps for uploads, which is almost double of what most other 4G services offer right now.
Later, we bought a Reliance LYF Flame 6 smartphone that costs Rs 2,999, along with which we got a Reliance Jio 4G SIM card free. This has given us access to 90 days of free unlimited data and voice services. We noted, the biggest advantage with the Jio SIM is that as a backup, it is doing much more than a good job. It’s doing a great job of keeping us connected, at speeds which are better than what more of the competition offers. However, apart from Reliance LYF Flame 6, there’s more budget options like LYF Flame 8, Flame 3, Flame 4, Wind 3 etc which will help you get a Reliance Jio 4G SIM free along with the handsets.

Interestingly, the Reliance Jio 4G SIM offer was also extended for Samsung Galaxy Note 7 launched in India on August 11. The flagship smartphone costs 59,900 and will go on sale from September 2. There are rumours doing rounds that Reliance Jio will open up its 4G services for other smartphones as well, including Apple devices, in the coming months. We’ll have to wait for the company to make an official announcement on this. However, if you don’t want to spend a bomb on a smartphone to get the Reliance Jio 4G SIM, here are the cheapest LYF handset options:
